Your Wedding Day

Why getting to know you is so important

Every soon-to-be-wed couple has a beautiful story. Listening to your story and writing it into the ceremony is one of the most enjoyable aspects of my job as your celebrant making a connection with you. Delivering a ceremony that reflects your love and life together is the most rewarding thing of all.

Once we have had an initial interview most of the writing can be achieved via email. I’ll send lots of info and options you can look through at a time that suits and allows for privacy to make choices of vows readings etc. I’ll keep things on track, write the ceremony and organise a rehearsal time usually within 2 weeks of the big day. If you’re travelling to Sydney for the occasion, Skype is a great tool for long distance rehearsals, our first interview, or writing sessions.

You will need to supply a Birth Certificates or a Passport. It does not matter what country the Passport is from, even if you were born overseas and are now an Australian citizen, an overseas passport may be the only thing you have to prove your country of Birth. If you have been previously married you MUST show evidence of your divorce. On my Legals and Notice of Intent page you will find clear instructions on how to obtain divorce papers, either from an Australian or Overseas Court Location. You simply CANNOT be married without evidence of Divorce so that is something to sort out months before the wedding.

Create the wedding service you want

If it’s a simple ceremony you’re after or if you’re on a tight budget and looking that’s fine too. The most important thing to me as your wedding celebrant is looking after you and delivering the ceremony you choose to have. On the fees page, pricing options are clearly outlined. Eloping is a romantic alternative to a big wedding and comes under the ‘Budget Weddings” category on my fees page. I really enjoy the excitement, the spontaneity and the mystery of conducting elopement weddings; you’re welcome to contact me for more information or to book me to officiate at your wedding as your Sydney marriage celebrant. Call me on 0403 929 150 to arrange a meeting.

Preparation of Marriage Paperwork

As your celebrant I provide assistance with the paperwork that comes with planning your wedding. It is my job to create all relevant marriage documents and certificates plus register the marriage. Registered Marriage Celebrants in Sydney and across Australia have the same qualification, and it’s our job to ensure all the paperwork is completed to the satisfaction of the N.S.W Dept. of Birth Deaths & Marriages. Take a look at the ‘ Legals & Notice of Intent to Marry’ page. On this page you will find a list of paperwork you are required to provide me in order to register your marriage successfully.

Obligation free meetings are conducted at my home office in Glebe. We can have a chat bounce some ideas around and I am always happy to play some harp for you. If we move onto signing a Notice of Intent to Marry we have access to everything we need to complete paperwork.
